Warning: unsafe for work hyperlinks up ahead!

Asked to write a report Monday, for the first time, on a company division. Wanted to use a synonym for "laughingstock" so I went to:

http://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/Special:AllPages/Wikisaurus:

However instead of clicking on:

http://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/Wikisaurus:laughingstock

I mistakenly clicked on:

http://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/Wikisaurus:labia

Which was next to it. When I realised what had happened I bailed out.

Manager called me up her desk today and asked for explanation as this had been highlighted in the report the web monitoring software had given her. She believed me and even had to suppress a smile in front of the other temps.

Moral of the tale? Use a safer thesaurus!

  1. That's the nature of t'interweb, I'm afraid.

Some of the work related stuff I look up could be construed as pron (closeups of labial cysts last week!), it's all a matter of context.

Moral- use your commonsense & be careful @ work.

    (funny story, though)

  2. nice one some brilliant synonyms on there i shall have to bookmark it for further analysis lol

i think the best one is "gargling bulldog"

do they make these up themselves

  3. Seriously, how sad are you?

  4. Are you KIDDING ME? You actually got called on the carpet for that? It's not like you were looking up Dirty Pictures (or were you?)LOL...they were just words and word links!!! GOOD GRIEF...I bet you did have to Supress a smile..I would have been outright LAUGHING!
