  1. no

no team needs a clash jumper

white shorts is all thats needed

  2. Today Channel seven showed the 1966 grandfinal before taking the Melb vs St kilda match.....

I hate seeing my team ( the dees ) playing out of their traditional gernsey... and I think it is a shame that any team has to change for any reason other than for a charity fund raiser...

Good on Collingwood for not having another jumper ..( lol after looking at the links) that isn't drastically different from their traditional one.

  3. They do actually have a clash jumper.

Home jumper on the left, clash jumper on the right.

They should change it though, because they are way to similar.

  4. well if all other teams have one

    their jumpers shouldn't clash then

    footy ain't a fashion show

  5. they should have a clash jumper, the afl should grow some balls and enforce that, just because collingwood is a power club, doesn't mean they should be exempt. if its good enuff for every other club, then its good enuff for them. and if thats not good enuff for them they should start up their own football league.  the "Eddie Collingwood Football League"

  6. YES

but it wont happen because of eddie.

  7. Who cares if they dnt have clash jumper. all that matters is that Collingwood keeps winning. whoo hoo WCE got thrashed by 100 points! Go Pies!

  8. 1) Because Collingwood is the only club willing to stand up and defend their heritage. The other clubs are either too timid to rock the AFL boat or they just don't care that strongly about club identity.

    2) Because the whole idea of needing 'clash' jumpers became a nonsense when colour television arrived.

    3) Nobody really wants them. If the AFL came out tomorrow and said clash jumpers were optional, most clubs would drop them.

  9. No they shouldnt be forced to have a clash jumper.

We are a powerhouse and can pretty much do what we like - we havent changed our guernsey out of respect and tradition to the club.

  10. I really don't think their gerneys do clash as such but maybe instead of black and white they could be white and black?just and idea. This bloke reckons that they are the only club without a clash jumper and for that they suck balls but, well yes i have to agree with him. What ever happened to Eddie Mcguire by the way?

  11. they do

    but its barely different

    its an absolute joke

and then it comes out theyre bullying the roos into wearing their clash jumper

collingwood are the bullies of the afl

eddie mcguire is a huge bully

his behaviour and his contempt toward the north melbourne football club and their jumper in the past week has been nothing short of disgraceful

    to be honest though, mate

ive gotten used to collingwood getting the best draw year after year, travelling - at most - 4 times in 22 rounds when my kangas travel 8.

this clash jumper is just another thing to put in into the "collingwood pushing their own agenda" category

    -------------------

i liken it to the way india absolutely governs cricket and pretty much override any decisions made by the icc (if youre a cricket fan)...

  12. Collingwood do have a clash jumper: it is white with black stripes. Even though I am a Collingwood fan, I do believe we should have a 'proper' clash jumper. We have had them in the past, there was an article in the Herald Sun about it recently. I think it was around 2002 when we had a magpie on the front of our jumper...

  13. COllingwood should just be kicked out of the league because Eddie McGuire is their president. Seriously though instead of having a white jumper with black stripes they should have a black jumper with white stripes. LOL

  14. YES they should do as the rest of the AFL has. what s***s me is that they go on about their long history but fail to realise that most of the other victorian teams were formed before them, even if they werent in the original vfl.

  15. yeah it so confusing for us

but wat ar u gunna do

just winge moan cry spit the dummy

  16. NO!

NO team needs a clash jumper... the AFL are just being stupid.. like they have been with some of the rule changes.

I can understand the idea behind having clash jumpers... but what I don't understand is if the jumpers were not a problem in more than 100 years of football (particularly since the 70's onwards where most of the jumpers are the same or very similar...) than why are they a problem now?!!!

Collingwood AND North Melbourne should both wear their (traditional) striped jumpers against each other... and same goes for any other clubs that "clash" jumpers. What Melbourne wore against StKilda last week was just ridiculous.. I'd have preferred them to wear their navy blue with the red "V" jumper... that silver was just c**p.

Having said all this the collingwood clash is ridiculous in itself.. it's pretty much the same as the normal jumper (which doesn't stop the clash - which is the whole point of clash jumpers... stupid AFL, stupid Collinwood!!)

    btw... Go Saints :D

  17. honestly, as i am not a afl football team supporter, collingwood has not got it, it will be between the bulldogs and the hawks, for 2008.

  18. no

collingwood have been black and white for 116yrs

and never has a player from another team said (OH I COULDN'T TELL THE DIFFERENCE)

you shouldn't force any one that's called bullying
