Should community library users be able to use library computers to play games on?

After working nearly nonstop at a summer job, only getting about 1 day off every two weeks, I'm enjoying some free time. I don't own a computer so I use library computer. They have one hour limit. Each time I log on I have to agree to their rules. One of the rules says 'no game playing.'

Do you agree or disagree, that the library should mandate how its computers are used? If I didn't feel like playing games but instead say write emails, I wouldn't mind waiting for my turn while others used their time playing computer games on library computer.

The library is run on your and my tax dollars.

  1. Library are there to serve the community with help for education or resources needed, not to tie up others because someone want to play games on it and have someone else standing by waiting to use it for business, educational, and research purpose.  They should be timed but because I in the pass had to go to the library for years I think it should have a longer hours for individual used but not to play games.

Computers are cheap now a days try buying one or saving up for one.

I would mind waiting for a computer if someone was playing games on it.  Next its going to be they stopped you in the middle of the game and you lost.  GROW UP!

  2. It should be okay to play. There isn't any rules against it here in this part of South Carolina. After all, you are paying for it with your tax money.
