  1. Problem is that it has been proven that hitting does not work. The only thing I can say is that there is some reason why for example when my parents grew up there was none of this awful behavior like there is now. I do not think that this is the answer though, it is the parents. They give their children everything and then wonder why they act the way they do? They are spoiled. But my opinion is still no, they should not bring back corporal punishment. If anyone laid a hand on my child I would be livid!

  2. no, corporal punishment should not be brought back. There are too many adults doing weird things to kids.

  3. A county in GA recently brought back corporal punishment.

What they basically said was. "Detentions and scolding was not doing anything" and "the parents will have to deal with this"

Not the exact words but that is what they were saying.

So yes it needs to be brought back.  Its the only proper way to get kids to stop acting out.

  4. Not only No but h**l NO  I was one of those who grew up with this system in place and can remember vividly getting six of the best in year 4 for not doing homework no B------sht.

From my experience some teachers given the right to dish out punishment are more that a little enthusiastic about it

The whole question of behaviour  starts at home, boundary's have to be set and kept it isn't done with punishment.

  5. Absolutely.

Time out and suspension for kids that don't WANT to work is not "punishment".

How hard is that to figure out?

  6. yes like all other animals if you do something bad and you are punished you probity wont do it to many more time. Kinda like grabbing for a hot stove. you definitely know you should have not done it

time out dose not work and suspension is a vacation. I know my mom beat me for a good reason. I am 30 now and have a reasonably good career

  7. PLEASE.  I feel that THE reason society is having the problem with the youth of today.  End of point.

  8. Corporal punishment shows a huge lack of imagination on the part of the punisher.  Use your brains instead of your hand and you'll make more progress with kids.
