Should corporations have the right to access other people's genetic information?

Well, when I say 'corporation' I'm referring to insurance companies and those in the normal work place.

  1. Not without your consent.

    But if you consent, I don't see why not.  

    And if you don't want to consent, shop somewhere else.

Absolutely not.  If you dont give it to them voluntarily, then they should not have access to it at all.  There is an issue of right to privacy.  Also, if you have a genetic test done to determine if you are a carrier of a certain gene such as anything hereditary or a cancer gene, most insurance companies will not pay for anything surrounding that issue once you become affected by it because it would be considered a pre-existing condition.  I do not believe in genetic testing for those 2 primary reasons.  

  3. .    They don't have that right today.  I think they should have.  Maybe something good will come of it.
