Should decisions as to when life begins, or what constitutes human life be left up to each individual? ?

If so, what if Oprah Winfrey decides that everyone with less money than her does not constitute human life?

Or should we establish some sort of uniform law that protects this somewhat fundamental right?

Those who do not understand that "life" begins at conception are deluding themselves.  Size has far too much to do with what people believe on this issue which is absurd.  When you think about it, that type of thinking is extremely primitive (and very convenient).

Government has to decide who is entitled to the rights under the Constitution.  Pre-Civil War, Black people were considered property and thus not entitled to human rights.  Sadly, these days, many do not consider the unborn as human and therefore can be killed.

If a woman wants an abortion she should pay for it, and not the government or the state or any insurance plan. there are times when its necessary i think. but, most of the time No. If a woman or a man would wait to have s*x till they are ready for kids, or until marriage we wouldnt not even need to keep talking Roe vs Wade, if your old enough for s*x, get married or just say no that is the way to nip this thing! birth control should be paid by insurance plans and it sure would save the taxpayers a lot of money. cost less for birthcontrol than it does it does to deliver a baby!

why do you Neocons think that women just casually go about having abortions. Do you guys actually believe that pregnant women wake up one day and say I think I want an abortion, an extremely small amount of women might be like that but I doubt it.  Women take alot of things into account before abortions. Okay now I have a question for Neocons why is it that you guys protest against abortions but aren't willing to help out once the baby is here, adopting children, supporting Universal health care for children, supporting increasing Teachers salaries for once the child enters school? Also why are you guys for the death penalty?

No.  Some individuals will decide to 'abort' their screaming two-year-old.

Consider that if I trample the freshly laid eggs of an endangered sea turtle, I will get in all sorts of legal trouble for ending the lives of those sea turtles.  Logically, humans deserve at least as much protection, don't they?

LIfe should start at birth.  before then it gets too complicated.  If life starts before birth then all deaths of fetuses (miscarriages included) should be investigated as possible neglect and manslaughter.  That would be ridiculous.
