  1. Yes, if dishwashers are not tipped out in cash it is commonly expected that they will receive dinner/lunch (from a predetermined menu) as their gratuity from the kitchen manager for keeping dishes and utensils well stocked (as best as possible). Servers and host generally get a 50% discount because they typically make more money.

  2. I would say yes but I know from personal experience working in many chain restaurants that the employees only get half off. Meanwhile the food that is prepared wrong, like the customer wanted no onion but the cooks put onion on it, is thrown out. Stupid rules!

  3. yeah they should because they are working in the food area

  4. yeah

  5. I personally think that everyone who works in a restaurant should eat for free.  There should be a spending limit to the free meal so that everyone in the place does not order the fillet mignon.   It is not usually like that though.  Most places charge their employees 1/2 for their meals.

  6. yes, many restaurants have employee meals there's a limit on how much your employee meal can be worth but everyone in the restaurant gets one after working a certain amount of time, like 4 hours, i think it's very fair
