Say if a man and women work the same job, they have the same experience and degree but the man works harder(and vice versa)would it be wrong that they both make the same money ? I say of course. My point is why do alot of people think just because they have the same creds of their co-worker they should get paid the same ? I say if co-workers have the same creds , pay should be determined on mostly on who working hard/ job performance and confidence to re-negotiate pay. How would u like to work harder than your co-worker, see them slack off or not working as hard while getting the same pay. What do yall think ?

(PS- Im not saying ALL men are harder workers than women, im not saying All women are harder worker than men, im just talking about lazy or not as hard working co-worker of any gender shouldnt be paid the same. There is a wage gap but its rarely based on gender discrimination isnt more about women career choices( pregnacy-time off from work-work less hours)What do u think ?

  1. Pay should be based on production, dedication, dependability, originality. and seniority.

Not just for showing up ,or the effort expended.

Chicks take more days off, get knocked up and disappear for months, possibly not returning for years ,if at all.

Additionally chicks are 10 times more likely to initiate a discrimination or harassment suit.

  2. If only the simple wisdom of keeping the government OUT of anything they don't HAVE to be in was widely understood.

Here's a brilliant thought.  How about you negotiate your salary with your employer & the government control freaks stick to building roads and zoning landfills.

  3. No, women should always get paid more.  It's called "positive" discrimination...

  4. No, not necessarily; time is money; no employer is going to pay some one the same amount who works less in the first place.

  5. Simply answer no.. same as to your last question

IF a man works harder AND is thereby more productive then yes it is equitable (fair) to pay him more for the same job than the woman even though by definition it is of course unequal. And vice versa of course

That's why there's a conflict if you advocate for equality because it can often result in unfair outcomes but equal outcomes for everyone like communism. Not fair

We pay people according to what they do not what they are

  6. Let capitalism work. If someone is better at a job they should be paid more.

If someone is willing to work longer then they should be paid more.

That said there is more important things to life than money..

  7. If you have two people doing the same amount of work in the same job, same position, with the same time-in-job, with the same level of education... yes, they should get the same pay.

If one works longer hours, that person will be rewarded with overtime and likely the next raise and/or promotion.

If one takes off significant amounts of time to, say, raise a child until that child goes to school, that person will suffer a career setback.

The next time you post this question, would it make you happier if I just started screaming about The Man? How many times can one question be asked?

  8. No because my husband is his companies best employee and I would be pissed if some of his co-workers made the same as him because they are complete slackers.

If everyone was paid the same, it would make people work less hard because they aren't working too impress so that they can get a raise.

My husband doesn't have any woman doing the same job he does so this doesn't pertain to women vs men's pay.

  9. Same experience, same credentials, same pay.  I have seen people who have worked less efficiently than me earn more money (the man who replaced me after I quit, for example).  Not fair.  And all it does is breed resentment.

Women will continue to have babies because somebody needs to be in the workforce paying taxes to pay the personnel at the old folks home where you will be residing in the future.  So its not fair to penalise women.  If you want to penalise someone then penalise the men who don't want to take paternity leave to care for their own children.

What do I think?  That you are blindly buying into the propaganda without using critical thinking skills.

At many jobs I saw plenty of people working "longer" by getting their hair done on company time, playing cards or staring off into space.  Why should people who work efficiently and get done faster be paid less than people goofing off while on the clock?

  10. I believe that compensation should be tied to output and productivity.  So, both may have the same credentials, experience and education working the same job - but if one is more productive and contributes more to the job - leading to higher profitability for the company - then that person deserves higher pay...

  11. Yes, men and women should be paid equally at work; and the person who works harder should be paid more than the slacker-offer.  But the reality is not this idea.
