I think all US citizens should have FREE universal mdecial care... sometimes good people who need medical care can't afford it and they end up dying in pain, now if someone is here illegaly then that's their problem. No health care for anyone illegal, it's illegal why should they be helped. The only help they deserve is to be transported back to wherever they cam from... They can come here legally, they are just to lazy to go through the procedures, they're already braking the law by coming here, so why shouldn't they brake all other laws, yeah.. it's not fair.. If that's the case everyone should be allowed to brake at least 3 laws before going to jail and that doesn't make sense so neither does giving illegal immigrants free health care. Besides most of them enter the US with deadly diseases from other countries and spread here in the US.

Illegal immigrants are already getting free medical care, so why not free universal medical care for everyone provided by the government? I say h**l yes to free universal medical care!! It's time has come, and it's long overdue!!

All the people here illegally should be made legal, and forced to learn english. anyone who comes into the country illegally from now on should be punished very harshly in exchange. Which i guess would mean I say yes, everyone gets universal health care. EVERYBODY!

No. If they are here illegally they should be locked out of all hospitals. Why should the American taxpayers pay for their care? I can barely afford my own health insurance and I don't go to the doctor myself because my copay is $100. As for voting for Obama, no thanks. He is going to raise everyone's taxes. I can't afford to pay more in taxes.

i think the entire idea is stupid. if you get free health care than doctors and pharmacists dont get paid as well and start making bad decisions now that they have little incentive

Depends.. I think those who are "illegal" who live in America for long periods of time should be entitled to free medicare. By illegal if you mean here trying to make a successful life and trying to make enough money etc to care for families sure, they should too. Those who traffic drugs and don't stay in America that long no.

No way in He-- should America give free medical care to illegals when there are so many Americans who do without Food so they can buy their medicine! Another thing that pisses me off that our American Veterans are a large % of the Homeless and they are intitled to a warm place to live in the Winter and a cool place in the summer,with adequate food and medicine! This is truly not the U. S. that Thomas Jefferson had in mind... But then I think back on those days, immigrants were culturaly allowed in with open minds, yet in the back of the minds of every person was the racism or preference against whoever they didn't want coming in.

I'm actually against illegals coming into this country myself, mostly because of security and safety reasons. This is the big melting pot after all....

Health Care is a RIGHT not a privelege. EVERY American should have Health Care. NO ONE should be forced to decide between taking their sick child to see a doctor or paying their bills. Think of all of the benefits of Universal Health Care; Doctors would be GUARANTEED payment, Employers would SAVE money because they wouldn't have to provide coverage for their employees any more which would allow them to grow, and workers would have more economic mobility. If I had a dollar for every time I've heard someone say "I'm only here because of the benefits" or "I'd leave, but I can't lose my benefits," I'd be a RICH man.

No! ! !  Just look at Canada and the UK.  They have a socialist health care system and it's horrible.  If you ever get really sick you have to leave the country because you'll die before you see a doctor and get real treatment.

Free?  Are you kidding me.  Take a look at the tax rates in Canada and England.  The gov't takes far more money in taxes than you would ever have to pay by choosing a private doctor.  Just use a little logic.  If you had $1000 for medical needs you could give this to a doctor directly and receive $1,000 in medical care or you could have this taken away from you in taxes, the gov't would pay someone to take this away from you, pay someone else to process this, pay someone else to oversee the program, pay a marketing dept. to make sure you know about what rights you have, pay more an more people to administer this money and transaction so in the end the doctor gets very little of this and it's really only the gov't that gets bigger.  Just use some logic.  Is it cheaper to buy direct?  Does the gov't ever do anything efficiently?  If doctors can't make any money do you really think the best and brightest people in the US are going to go to school to become doctors or are they going to do something else?
