Should families with a stay at home parent be allowed welfare?

Should families in which one parent stays at home be allowed welfare, wic, medicaid, or food stamps? Or should both parents be working to support their children? I think it's wrong for a person to stay at home while the public picks up the tab for their child. My gf is pregnant, and she and I both work full to pay the bills. It's our baby and our responsibility.

  2. daycares suck. who the h**l would honestly want ANYONE other than family to watch their kids ALL DAY LONG?

really? do you have any concept of how terrible it is for a child to be sent to day care at two months old, and only see their parents for maybe two hours an evening before bedtime for the rest of their life?

if you have kids and send them to daycare, that's your choice

but we've tried it all. we've both worked and the money situation was WORSE than just staying with a single job. it took more gas to and from the daycare, plus all the expenses.

and the kids were only two and three and already started learning bad habits and attitudes from the other parentless brats there.

    its a matter of choice.

i love my kids, and they stay home so my wife can have some time with them while they're young. when they're 5 they'll go to school like everyone else, and mommy will get a job too, and we'll return to being non-welfare sucking leaches.

until then, we're getting assistance and that's what it's for. and until then, we have to continue with the most dignity that we can, knowing that any decent parent should understand our plight, and know our cause:

to do the best we can, every single day.

by the way i haven't gone for more than three days without a job since i was 16 years old.

i'm a worker, and i still need help feeding my kids. i drive a scooter to save money and i STILL can't afford any health care. if i get seriously sick, our whole ship sinks.

everyone's lives suck for some reason or another: because they have no money, or pay too much taxes, or there's illness.

we are all in this together, it's just that some of us are quick to forget.
