  1. No, the fans themselves are responsible for their own actions. All the clubs can do is create the best possible circumstances for the police to end riots quickly. The authorities in turn could create laws to make sure that fans who have been arrested and convicted for violent conduct during games stay as far away from the games as possible. In English soccer for instance, these Hooligans have to come to the police station when their team plays. It helps!

  2. yes. i think they should!

i took my little brother (who was 6 at the time) to a newcastle vs bulldogs match at the stadium in Sydney.

we sat with some bulldogs supporters (cause thats where our tickets put us), and on the whole, they were very nice people.

but we had some young blokes near us that kept trying to start a fight with me, infront of my brother because we were supporting the knights.

as we were walking down the steps at full time, one of the blokes told my little brother (who was 6!!) that if he saw him sitting in that section again, and was not barracking for the bulldogs, he would cut his throat.

to a 6 year old kid!

we told a cop, and he told us, there was nothing he could do.

now, if u cant go to a footy match and feel safe, and have a good time, then why bother going?

if a club cannot control their fans, they should be banned from the competition for 1 season, and to get back in, they should have to prove they had identified the trouble makers in the fans, and had banned them for life.

otherwise, people (like me, and those with young families), are not going to bother going to the footy.

we will just watch it at home

  3. No, people need to be responsible and held accountable for their own actions.

  4. no way,its the fools that start it and THEY DO get punished

for it,if you watch where the idiots are you will see them drinking grog where the violence is.security take them out

and the police put them in the lock up then the fines begin.
