Question:

Should frogs be worshipped as deities?

When one considers they are amphibians and go from breathing water to breathing air, isn't that akin to living on earth and then in heaven? Therefore, are they not creatures of significant spiritual significance? Is the importance of frogs overlooked?

  1. Oh for Frog's sake!  Yes, of course!

  2. OK.. They may b symbolic, but don't go too far about it..

  3. Only if I was a frog.

Too bad, you are a toad clogging a religious site.

    Flush!!!!!!!!!!

  4. No! Matthew is right. That's why God used the plague of frogs in Egypt against pharaoh. Like the other plagues, this was a judgment on the deities worshiped in that land. (Ex 12:12) The frog was sacred to Heqt, an Egyptian goddess depicted with the head of this creature.

  5. I think dragonflies are even more miraculous.  They go from being water-breathing jet-propelled critters that catch their prey with an extensible jaw like an Alien, and then one day they climb up a reed, split open their back, and fly away.

After that, they are consumate aerial predators who catch flies and other insects on the wing by swooping by and snagging them with their legs.  They drown if they get in the water after that.

That's truly a wonder of nature, and most people don't even it notice it happening.

  6. I fear the wrath of His Noodley Appendages.  This is so blasphemous.

  7. I like frog legs.

    Taste kinda like kitten..................er, chicken.

  8. Absolutely. In fact I saw a picture the other day of their savior being crucified.

  9. Being a frog myself, I definitely think I should be worshipped as a deity.

  10. Frogs do not breath water

  11. I have eaten frog. I have never eaten God.

  12. I have met people that still believe frogs came from mud. Yeah, my soul hurt a little after hearing that.

  13. Frogs are deities of demon worship.  Most witchdoctors in 3rd world countries do rituals with them and drink from them.  So I would say no, they are detestable in the old testament so they are the same today.

  14. I think manatees are more worthy.

Do I need to make up reasons?

  15. Why not?  At least we can see the frog and touch the frog and know that it exists.  That's more than I can say for some other religions...

  16. "Thou shalt have no other gods before Me." Exodus 20:3

  17. If you are American or from Western Europe, you may worship who you like.

  18. No but spiders should be.

  19. I Don't Think Frogs Are So Insecure That They Feel They should Be Worshipped.  But Hey, Whatever floats Your Boat...

  20. Rom 1:20  For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:

Rom 1:21  Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.

Rom 1:22  Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,

Rom 1:23  And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.

Rom 1:24  Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:

Rom 1:25  Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.

  21. ...

  22. I don't think so.  That would be really strange.  What would happen when it died anyway?  I would rather have a God that didn't jump or die.

  23. There are great advantages to worshiping frogs instead of gods:

    1.   They exist

    2.   They don't hurt anyone (unless it's the poisous toad in Australia)

    3.    When you're tired of worshiping them, you can eat them

  24. I'm sure there are worse things you've done to frogs than worship them.
