should I just include spending money in my student loans?

By spending money, I mean that I would use it for extra events, necessities (Shampoo, Soap, etc...) You probably know what I'm talking about anyway...

I'm not worried about paying the loans back so much because my major (Mechanical Engineering) has an average starting salary of about $50,000 a year, plus I'm going to attend a college where 95% of graduates have been placed in a job within 1 year after gradution.

I would rather not have to get a job, but I'm not sure whether I should or not. Also, I'm going to be a senior in High School this year....

So please tell me what you would suggest... Also, what do you think would be the amount of spending money I would need over the duration of two college semesters? (I will be living in a dorm which includes meals)

Thanks to anyone who took the time to help me out...

  1. I say get a job. The less debt the better, you cannot predict the future. Plus it is a good idea to have good references for later on. You will gain a lot from working besides $$$$.
