  5. My great-grandmother was married at the age of twelve to a man more than twice her age. It was a different time then. Women married young so they could have a husband  to protect them from being raped by soldiers. She was Cuban and it was wartime. She and her husband both lived past a hundred and they loved each other very much and had several children.

    Women still marry that young in many cultures, often to men they don't even know. It's usually for economic reasons. The concept of marriage being about love is truly a new idea, greatly enforced by Hollywood.

    I'm not trying to by cynical. I'm just stating the fact that to a great portion of the world marriage has nothing to do with falling in love, so age is irrelevant. In my opinion, the age of 12 is far too young, especially in America where young girls are rather immature compared to other countries. At that age a person is hardly developed physically and psychologically.

  10. I don't think so. I think that you are too young to know exactly who you are, yet alone to know what you're looking for in a life-mate. You must be able to fully understand yourself (your goals, your aspirations) before you can share your life with someone else, not matter what age you are...

    A 12 year old is just a child really, they still have so much growing and learning to do as a person before they should be worried about being a married woman. That stress can wait until they're a little older. No need to jump right in at such a young age...

  16. I was married for the first time as a virgin bride at 15 (three days before my 16th bday). I can tell you now at 40, although I love my children from that marriage and am happy with who and where I am today, I would NOT recommmend marriage to anyone under 18 and would highly recommend they wait until 25 or older (preferrably 30 in my mind). When you are a child (under 18) you are still learning about who you are and what you want in life. The person you fall for at 12 or 13 or 14 may not be the person you would have chosen as an adult. You are not mentally or emotionally ready nor should you have to take on that type of responsibility. Grow up and enjoy your life! Become someone, set goals, go to school, so that when you are an adult, and you find the right person, you will have something to contribute to the relationship! And you will be equipped to handle all that comes with being married.

NO WAY!!!  If you're 12, and feel you are in love, I hate to be the bearer of bad news but your road of love is long ahead of you.  The first, second, and even third loves don't always work out.  But in those times you learn from the experiences and about yourself and become a better, wiser person.  Be patient please!

  25. the answer is no no no ,because  you just cannot marry a 12year old girl get married she can't even cook ,wash ,and after 1year she is pregnant for 9 months and a baby is in the family ,how can she change the diapers just think okay it is illegal.
