Should girls eat protein while trying to lose weight?

I am trying to lose stomach, fat, *** and legs.Should I drink or eat protein like shakes, meats etc. I know guys do it to get muscles.

  2. Protein will feed your muscle.  Muscle will speed up your metabolism.  A fast metabolism burns fat.

  3. eat a balanced diet with lean meats and whole grains. You should get enough protein. Protein filters through you kidneys so don't overload them.  A good evening meal is: lean meat, cooked green vegetable, salad and fruit. If you are active keep the calories up--about 1200. Too low and the weight will come back fast.

  4. Don't cut out protein! Your body needs a balanced amount of protein, carbs and fat daily to function properly.

    I record my daily food intake on Health Tracker at www.prevention.com which tells me how much protein, carbs and fat I ate, plus subtracting the calories I burned through exercise. This helps me to maintain a healthy diet.
