  1. Only in a political science class to demonstrate how science can be misused to promote political agendas.

Just listen to what these political leaders say:

"We've got to ride this global warming issue. Even if the theory of global warming is wrong, we will be doing the right thing in terms of economic and environmental policy."

    - Timothy Wirth (former US Under Secretary of State, current Head of the UN Foundation)

“No matter if the science of global warming is all phony... climate change provides the greatest opportunity to bring about justice and equality in the world.”

    - Christine Stewart (former Canadian Minister of the Environment)

"The emerging 'environmentalization' of our civilization and the need for vigorous action in the interest of the entire global community will inevitably have multiple political consequences.  Perhaps the most important of them will be a gradual change in the status of the United Nations. Inevitably, it must assume some aspects of a world government."

    - Mikhail Gorbachev

"In searching for a new enemy to unite us, we came up with the idea that pollution, the threat of global warming, water shortages, famine and the like would fit the bill ... All these dangers are caused by human intervention and it is only through changed attitudes and behaviour that they can be overcome. The real enemy, then, is humanity itself."

    - Club of Rome

  2. No.  Its all just theories with no actual proof.  The Earth has been warming and cooling for longer than people were here so unless you can link it to some single celled organism with an SUV there is none.

  3. It they teach mythology then I guess it would be OK to teach global warming but it should only be done with science and not with a politically left spin.

  4. Yes.  Americans in particular are woefully uneducated when it comes to the science behind global warming.  You just have to peruse through the Global Warming section here and that's completely obvious.  Our kids need to learn the science so they can make an educated decision about what needs to be done.  This is quite possibly the greatest threat ever faced by mankind, and most people don't even understand the basic science.  Talk about a recipe for disaster.

I'm not even suggesting they should watch 'An Inconvenient Truth', but they should be taught the basic science and then allowed to come to their own conclusions.

  5. It is science, so yes.

  6. For the love of God, NO! And no to watching "An Incovenient Truth". What is wrong with everybody? Al Gore? Al Gore? Wow I am impressed with his scientific credentials. He doesn't even have any common sense and someone would expect me to watch and seriously consider his propaganda movie. Please!

  7. No. And even AGW alarmists are distancing themselves from Al Gore to try to look more legit.

  8. well what i think it should be is your whole class watches inconvenient truth then talk about it for a day (it will probably take three days to finish) then you let them decide if they believe it or not. maybe send a report on why or why not they believe in it. One thing you should make sure to do is not teach this as fact  everyone should be titled to there opinion

P.S. im not sure why every bodys giving me a thumbs down all im saying is people should hear both sides of the story
