Question:

Should golf club membership fees be raised?

Hi, I think that the membership fees need to be raised so that there is a limit to the number and type of people you get in the golf club. Not too long ago, golf was considered as a rich man's sport; unfortunately it is not as clear these days. I am sick of seeing lower class people joining my golf club. Anyone else agree?

  1. Raise it, lower it, it will make no difference to me I still couldn't afford to join so that's one more of the lower class that you don't have to worry about.

  2. I agree 100%

I walked into my local golf club bar last night and their was someone in their without a tie on. HONESTLY!!

Me and Reginald almost chocked on our 68 Cabinet at the mere sight of this young scallywag.

Of course Reginald was so annoyed he insisted on taking the young whippersnapper home and showing him some good old-fashioned Upper class punishment involving a cane, some butter and 3 large cucumbers!!

Anyways, back to your question young man, I have just come in from shooting a 62 on the back nine which is a massive improvement, these brand new £900 Yonex woods that the Pro insisted I was lucky to get have obviously taken my game onto the next level.

OH MY GOD! I almost forgot, last week my playing Partner (A Youngish looking Doctor of the Asian Descent!! I can't believe they let his kind play cultural sports!!) Tee'd up with a SRIXON golf ball, oh my god the shame, Frederick in the bar and William in the Snooker room almost died with laughter and insisted that we all engage in mutual masterbation sessions to rid myself of the shame.

Anyway must dash, we have some more peasants to laugh at.

    Toodle-lew

  3. snob

any one is alowed to play golf

get used to the fact that "lower class" people playing at your golf club

if they hav paid they have the same right to pay as you do

be it they go around in a t shirt or in a £90 shirt

    they all have the right

    to answer your question

    no they shouldnt be raised

as they are low to encourage people to play golf

some clubs raise their prices to keep up with local house prices etc.

  4. You must be winding us up I belong to the golf club and visit many others and there is never anyone like you there but if you were I'd recognise you in your collar and tie and green blazer with the badge on it ....yes you have the gear but no friends and I bet no birds .... oops I mean birdies

  5. snob.....

  6. Lets get this clear.....ok?  At 16 you are a member?????or your daddy is a member??????.  Lets talk after you actually get out in the real world.

  7. Memberships to what kind of low class of club .Were else do players mark each others balls , compare their woods , play in the rough , go down in the bunker , have foursomes ,three balls. These golf clubs have always been for low class funny dressed people who think nothing putting in any hole .

  8. Can we get the d**n idiots with more money than sense (like yourself - oh sorry daddy's money) to stop hitting four dollar golf balls into the woods?  Play with a god dammed Top Flite you wanker . . . . I hate seeing ProV's will tree scuffs!

  9. I've been a member at a golf club for 25yrs and i can't believe that you have actually asked that question. As a golfer (so you say) have you never heard of etiquette or manners? I'm sure the lower class people have far more respect for others than you have.Unfortunately there are still some golf clubs that haven't caught up with today's society,i.e they still think that membership is for the rich.

    I wouldn't want to join a s****. club like yours,even though i play off a plus 2 yes,that's +2 handicap I'm pretty sure that i wouldn't feel comfortable playing with a load of toffs.

I bet you sit in the bar after a game with pipe and slippers sipping a brandy what, what!!!!

Get a life and play with real down to earth people

  10. If thats the way you feel, there are clubs  out there just for you.  Go find one.

  11. One of the reasons that " Bluebloods" no longer have the exclusive Waspish hold on the prestigious clubs is that the breed is dying off, the club needs the membership dues  to survive and the "snobs" are losing control. For a 16 year old you certainly are full of yourself and we might aptly refer to you as a " Little Snot".  Ignorance does breed contempt, even in the young.

  12. They probably should raise the fees.  Obviously it wasn't high enough to keep you out.

  13. Oh my god. It's obviously too late for you. I'd love to kick your *** round a golf course, both in a game and then bury you alive in the nearest bunker. you arrogant, greedy, jumped up, daddy *** l*****g ************.

  14. As a 16 year old you will be paying next to nothing, that will be the case until you are 21.When Daddy stops paying your fees and you will have to stump up the grand it costs that is the time you will be able to justify your comments.MUPPET.

  15. Yes, I do believe that people like us shouldnt join golf clubs. We'd be exposed to people like you, and maybe get ideas above our station. We should stick to real sports and not walking around with a stick.

  16. You really are a snob. Clubs need new membership and class does not count. It depends upon the character and trustworthiness of the people who join and not on their presumed class. Obviously we need to uphold standards but when I was as a Club Secretary I found many of the better members to be working class people.

  17. I'm glad you live in England. You would suffer terribly here in the US. We're all low class. Can't we all just get along?

  18. you might have a different attitude to this when you have to pay your own fees rather than having daddy pay for you.....but I very much doubt that.

  19. What's the matter, get beaten by a 15 year old with a set of second hand clubs in the medal today?

  20. Did some Lower class man beat you, lol.!!!

It's good for the game. The more playing the higher the standard.!!!
