Should gum graft be done before or after implant?

I'm getting an implant on #9 due to fracture at the root. The gum on that tooth is higher than the others due to bad flap surgery, the Periodontist cut too much of the gum away! Should I get a gum graft before my implant? What are the success rate of a gum graft and how long does it take to heal? Any dental proffesionals, please help!

Before and implant in certain cases and where perforation has occured afterwards , in your case after healing has taken place
