Should guns be allowed in court houses and government buildings?

It has been established that citizens have the personal right to carry guns anywhere, except sensitive places (like where judges and politicians work).

Why can politicians and judges protect themselves from being shot, while bar tenders and little league umpires can not.

Citizens carrying guns must usually accompanied it of their permit or licences to justify its right to do so,,To answer of your main question,I think it is not allowed to carry guns in sensitive places such as court houses&gov't buildings because of security&safety reasons for people as this is international SOP.

I believe that the citizens should be able to determine where guns are allowed and not allowed.

So it would depend on the voters to decide whether citizens could legally carry weapons into government buildings.

We have a law in this state that, very sensibly, allows shopkeepers etc. to forbid the carrying of guns on their premises, by posting signs.  

I doubt this ruling will be considered a challenge to that.  That would pretty unreasonable.

If the Supreme Court has just ruled that it's legal to own a handgun to be used in self-defense, then it should be legal to carry that handgun into a government building. After all, a logical presumption could be made that court rooms, jails, government offices, and other bureaucratic facilities might be filled with all kinds of unstable people who might want to do me bodily harm (including, of course, a lot of psychopathic, narcissistic judges, police officers, politicians and government employees). I should have the ability to exercise my now legal 'right' to defend myself against such cretins.
