  1. The card that has 'No Moleste' on it means 'Do not disturb' You are supposed to hang it on the outside door handle.

  2. I've had the cleaner walk in on me when I was getting ready, she was just like "oh, sorry." and carried on!

  3. Yes it has happened to me before but I can't really see a way around it. Hotels have to clean the rooms every day. That is what you expect of hotels. And if you could pick and choose the hours within which the cleaner could come to your room, you can bet your life that they would have to hire 24 hour cleaners to suit everybody!

I have found that renting an apartment on holiday offers alot more privacy and you can even do this on short city breaks now through various websites.

I only use hotels for business travel nowadays.

In reality, even though I'm on holiday, I don't become such a dirty cow that I need my towels changing every day or my toilet cleaned on a daily basis and a small triangle folded into my toilet paper.

Not so much so that I am willing to swap it for a relaxing and carefree lie in or an afternoon snooze when I'm on holiday and that's what holidays are for!

I don't see the logic in it myself.

  4. Gerrover, rover - you loved it :-)

There are normally "do not disturb" signs - I expect you ripped yours up.

I used to think the maid fancied me when I first stayed in a posh hotel because she kept leaving me a little chocolate on my pillow :-)

  5. Ummm, maybe you will now learn to:

    1) take siesta with some clothes on

    2) make SURE you lock and double lock the door

    3) put up the do not disturb sign

    4) use the air conditioning.

    LOL

Can´t think of anything that the ordinary hotel room should add.  Only what YOU need to do to avoid such embarrassment the next time!

Hope you didn´t tell anyone how Embarazado you were....MORE lolol.

(ask someone if you don´t get the joke!)

  6. Give us all your secret- how did you PLAN this- with all details please.

  7. Oh Yes it has! Spain as well, few of us girls getting ready for a night out and the hotel maintenence man let himself in..seeing a load of half naked women frightened the wits out of him-he backed out of the room bright red with embarrassment..we were not happy and complained to the hotel about this access to our room with no forewarning...seems he should of gone into the room next door and not ours!
