Should humans try and control the weather?

saw the program the other night and thought scientists are going mad....so they move a hurricane by flying jets to create con trails so forcing nature to create a weather system that will push the hurricane away from a certain area...but what effect will that have somewhere else in the world...

Americans will do anything  to enhance their knowledge of how nature works for their own benefits.  Once they have mastered how to control hurricane, the next stage is to direct these towards Iran so that they don't need to do anything to force Iran to halt its Nuclear ambitions!!

I dont think the weather should be controlled be people because what ever happens in the nature should happen because that's the way its supposed to happed not because we changed but i think that we shoould take precautionary measures.

Also i think that humans are the cause of intense hurricanes and droughts beause of global warming ( global warming is occuring because of the out-of-control burning of fossil fuels ).

Assuming that global climate change is the main cause of frequent weather extremes, then we should definitely control the weather by cutting down those greenhouse gas emissions and increasing carbon sequestration (planting lots and lots of trees).

Directly controlling the weather like diverting hurricanes or inducing rain in drought-prone agricultural areas should only be done as a temporary measure. It's just a patch-up job that does nothing permanently.

Control the weather just like those master villians in James Bond movies?  That would be cool.  but yes, who knows what effect it will have on unintended areas.
