my eye is red.... so i use Visine.. can i do more than 4 drops a day?

I'm not sure...just try the 4 drops first.  If they don't work, then consult the doctor.  I'm sure there must be some reason the box says not to...

If you over-use something like that, then you'll eventually get a rebound effect.  Kind of like using too much cold medicine for too long, then when you stop, you'll feel worse than ever for a couple of days.  

A better question would be, why is my eye getting red and what can I do to stop whatever is irritating it in the first place?
