..and ESPECIALLY to the LA Dodgers!?

aghh!!

We still have "big papi" Ortiz, Kevin Youkilis , Jason Varitek, Josh Beckett, Dustin Pedroia .. others..

Of course we still have a chance at the World Series again, right?

  1. Bay will be good enough to fill in for Ramirez,so they do have a chance.

But the Angels and Yankees also made big trades,so it will be difficult.

  2. does it matter? i love these boys for the team they are, and how they've played through the years i've watched. i don't care whether or not they win, just as long as they played the best they could and stayed a true team. manny had removed himself from the team long before this, so the trade shouldn't really hurt. if anything, it can only help. as long as you're a real RED SOX fan, the trade doesn't matter. they're still the Sox. <3

  3. good thing you added those comments...i was totally thinking you are so not a real fan...but i do understand the shock....i am in shock too.....it seems to me like manny forced this by just going over the top with the bad behavior...seems like he wanted to go and if he did then it really wouldnt be good to have him here huh?

  4. of course you should stay a red sox fan just because a good player gets traded doesnt mean "stop being a Red Sox fan" u stay with ur team through thier ups and downs, i would know ive been a Dodgers fan since i was five, oh and by the way i was stoked when i heard about arguably the best player being traded to my favorite team, oh and by the way manny is also my favorite baseball player.

    Good Luck Red Sox!

    Go Manny And The Dodgers!

  5. i say stick with red socks! i still love them!!

  6. You must stay loyal to your team. I know that the Manny trade was crazy to make for Boston. But a TRUE fan stay's his/her course with there team no matter what happens!

  7. If I were a Red Sox fan, I would be pretty blue today. Nah, I'd still be a fan, but not a happy one. The greatest living post-season player now plays on the west coast. I'd be blue.

  8. Are there ANY red sox fans pre 2004 or are they ALL like you?

  9. Well...

are you a fan of the Red Sox, or Manny?

  10. if u even have to ask this question than u were never a red sox fan to begin with

  11. Yes, because there is nothing a Red Sox fan loves more than complaining about getting beaten by the Yankees.  Now that the Sox have won two championships their fans are having an identity crisis that won't be resolved until they start coming in second to the hated Yanks once again.  And trading Manny makes that much more likely.  So have fun.

And no, you don't have a chance to win the series again but that's the point, isn't it?  Sox fans don't really want to win; they just want to complain about Bucky Dent's home run or the ball going through Buckner's legs.

And the same is true for Cubs fans.  They are all secretly hoping the Cubs find a way to mess up at the last minute...

  12. Stay with your squad. I remember being pissed when the Yankees traded Dave Winfield, who is my all-time favorite baseball player. I was tempted for a bit to abandon the Yankees. Thank goodness I came to my senses and never jumped. I was also not happy when the Yankees let Joe Torre leave, but I wasn't going anywhere. I couldn't imagine not being a Yankees fan.

My advice: stick with your team. All teams go through rough spots and fans get disguntled when the team does something unfavorable. But in the end, you're still a fan. It's not like the Red Sox are moving out of Boston.

By the way, if you are leaving just because of Manny's departure, you're probably not a real Red Sox fan to begin with.

Oh and I do believe that a lot of Red Sox fans came on after 2004. But that's what happens when teams win. They get "fans." The Yankees had plenty of bandwagoners after 1996. Made me roll my eyes, but I'm not leaving because of them.

  13. I miss Manny,Im still a red sox fan and now im a dodgers fan as well,im still in shock myself

  14. Well, i kinda have to wonder how much of a fan you are in the first place if changing your loyalty can be had for the price of one player being traded. I thought a fan was someone who sticks by their team win or lose. Is it just that you want to be a fan of winninng teams?

  15. Hey Mr. Banwagon come over to our side and get some sun! Oh yeah Big Papi is the next to leave. Now your a Reds fan?? lol

  16. Your not a Red Sox fan to begin with.

  17. it matters if manny was ur favorite player then yes but if ur a true red sox fan then u should stick with them because i to am a red sox fan and i was very mad that manny was  traded but it was for the best so basically yes if ur a true red sox fan and no if ur a manny fan

  18. wow u are not true red sox fan... I cant believe you are asking this question.... Just because Manny got traded you are now questioning yourself if you should be a red sox fan... I don't think you are a true red sox fan but a true Manny Ramirez fan... By the way im not a red sox fan... im a marlins fan and i don't care what player goes or comes to the team I will always be a marlins fan no matter what happens... GO FISH!!!
