  1. yeah

  2. A degree of nervousness is expected, but you do not need to be excessively nervous.  It is best to understand that the polygraph is to test your honesty, i.e. whether you are telling the truth about your background history (criminal activity, drugs, employment, etc) and not about finding about your past discrepancies.  Remember to disclose everything and be as honest and accurate as possible.  Lying or minimizing the situation will not help you at all.  Of course, neither will trying to "beat" the polygraph exam.  Good luck!

  3. They'll be honest questions, no ambush questions as funny as it could be.

  4. Just relax so that your test will be okey.

  5. No, the whole reason for the polygraph is to make sure you're honest. To an extent, they don't care what your answers are to the question, they just want to make sure you can tell the truth.

  6. Yeah, most people are nervous when they go to take a polygraph, even if its not your first. These things are designed to intimidate you. The room you are in during the test is designed to trigger you mentally. They will first ask you a series of questions that you can answer yes or no to. They will start out asking if your name is.......... then work on up to other questions. They will ask you these general questions that they know you will be answering truthfully to in order to establish a base line for you reaction to truth. Just forget you are taking a polygraph, ignore the equipment the best you can and answer truthfully. Its true that they will not ambush you with any questions. They will run through all the questions that they are going to ask you during the polygraph before it begins. So you will know every question they are going to ask you ahead of time. They are going to ask you simple things like have you ever been accused of stealing, have you ever used marajuana, yadah yadah, whoopty whoop. Hope that helps.
