i desexed my cat two to three days ago and she came back with stitches.

But i checked the wound just then and the stitches were gone so now its a small open (hole-like) wound. but its not bleeding.

should i be worried?

will it close?

or should i get it redone?

  1. get her to the vet asap... that little hole would lead into her abdomen so can be very serious! There would be internal disolveable stitches but if she is l*****g these could come out as well...

It could be stapled together until its healed and also use a buster collar until its healed to stop her pulling and l*****g!

Off to the vets you go please!

  2. What kind of a question is this?

Of course you should be worried!  Take her to the vet!

  3. yes! That wound will be deep and leaving it open will expose it to infection, you need to take your cat to the vet immeditly!

  4. hi she has took her stitches out u do need to take it back to the vets to have it stitched up again because it will get infected that would kill her and when she get it restiched get a collar on him/her so she cant l**k or take the stitches out again so it can heal so take it back to your vets

  5. definitely go to the vet, thats common sense. hope shes ok though and goodluck

  6. my puppy did the same thing even though it seems fine you need to go back to the vet and get it closed again or shell get an infection and it wont heal properly.  better safe than sorry!

  7. Call your vet and see what he/she says.  The biggest risk is probably infection at this point but call the vet and in the meantime, keep a close eye on her.

  8. yes this can kill it (if it is bleeding)
