  1. Be a special ed teacher and be a maths tutor for

students who are not good at maths or those who donot have interest in maths.

Then you will fullfill both your desires.

    All the best.

  2. go for special education if you really want to help many people. for me its very fulfilling.

  3. It's not really a question of helping the most people. Rather consider how you can BEST help people. Some people serve their purpose in life by just helping a few people who then go on to help many. Consider Jesus, who really spent his time with only 12 people, and only for 3 years. Yet look how he impacted the world!

Try to get into the area that you really love, the area that makes you come alive, the area you feel you were born to do & really makes you happy. Because if you're happy, you will impact the people you serve in a much greater way.

  4. When you're a special education teacher, you're helping students that are in need.  There are students in need in English and those that are in need in math.  More than likely as a SPED teacher, you'd need to provide service in more than one subject area.

Now, even if you choose to be a regular math teacher, you'll always find those struggling students that aren't in SPED, but that still could use your help.

  5. if you really want to help more people,

i'd say pick the special ed teacher, coz there are few special ed teachers and more math teachers,...

    but it's only my opinion,

  6. I lean toward Math
