Should i become vegetarian?

i love meat, but i think it's making me sick. i had a burger, fries, and a milkshake for lunch. then around 6:00 my stomach started to hurt so i couldn't eat dinner (which would have been pizza). i had a muffin and some grapes, which went down ok. but my stomach has been hurting off and on for the last few hours. it's now 10:00.

i think it might help if i become a vegetarian. i think i might have an iron deficiency and i'm scared that i will lose alot of weight though.

i'm 13, 77 lbs., and 5 '1. i'm not anorexic, my mother is also very slim. she's 5 ' 3 and 106 lbs.

are there any alternatives? maybe should i just avoid certain meats? please help.

  1. Dude! Your 77 lbs., and 5 '1, you sure sound anorexic. You should be seeing a doctor to find out way your so skinny.

  2. Your stomach hurting might not be from meat, try i a few more times and if it still happens, then maybe it is. You dont have to become a vergetarian, but then again, That is a personal choice.

  3. I think you may have gotten sick on the stomach from the toxic mix of animal products.  Fries have grease, the burgers are way too big and

the milk shake contains lactose.  The grapes are acidic and don't mix well with the other foods in your digestive system.  I would suggest reducing your animal product intake and seeing if that makes you feel any better.  You can find fake meats to replace flesh in some of your meals.  If you do eat meat keep it to a small size like what's suggested in the traditional food pyramid and don't mix other animal products like cheese and milk in a meal all at one sitting.  Before I became  a vegetarian I had the same problems and always felt miserable after I ate a traditional sized piece of meat.  I reduced the portion sizes cut down on the by-products and began to feel better.

A year after reducing animal products I decided to quit meat altogether.

So my suggestion is go gradual, reduce and see what works for you.

  4. Burger 1000 cals

    Fries 500 cals

    Shake 700 cals

Your lunch of (2200 calories) is what I eat in an entire DAY...24 hour period! (I am male, 180 lbs and workout/musclular)

Being your age, s*x and weight, it's no wonder your stomach felt sore...

Grapes wont help the situation either. (gas)

Muffins are not good for you either.

    cheers

  6. While being a vegetarian is great you need to know all the basic foods like have the right amount of protein, fats, calcium, carbs and all that other good stuff. So do some research before going vega because you could get super unhealthy without knowing the right way to get nurtion without meat.

  7. I don't think meat is the problem. Maybe its just the other things you're eating. Fries, milkshakes, muffins, and pizza could cause your stomach to hurt. They aren't very healthy. Before deciding to become vegetarian, why not try cutting out junk food and see if that is the cause. Then, if you're still getting pain, maybe talk to your doctor about it and see what they think. Meat shouldn't be causing your stomach to hurt like that.

  8. you ate too much fat. that would upset almost anyone's stomach!

Being a vegetarian is so much better for you, so definitely consider it.

  9. you are 77 pounds?

    You need to eat SOMEthing!

  10. See a dietitian and get some good factual support on your nutrition.
