  1. While it has been accurately reported that some women have had BFP with an HPT as early as 8dpo, only an extream minority of women will get a BFP that early.

If you look at the literature that comes with the HPT, it should give you odds of getting an accurate BFP if you are pregnant when testing early.

    It goes something like this...

If every pregnant woman were to use an HPT at 9dpo, only something like 10% of them would get a BFP.  That leaves 90% of pregnant women getting a BFN even though they are pregnant.

If every pregnant woman were to use an HPT at 10dpo, only something like 20% of them would get a BFP.

If every pregnant woman were to use an HPT at 11dpo, something like 40% of them would get a BFP.

If every pregnant woman were to use an HPT at 12dpo, something like 60% of them would get a BFP.

If every pregnant woman were to use an HPT at 13 dpo, something like 80% of them would get a BFP.

If every pregnant woman were to use an HPT at 14 dpo, something like 90% of them would get a BFP.

If every pregnant woman were to use an HPT at 15 dpo (the "on time" mark), 98% of them would get a BFP.

Now the exact numbers greatly depend upon which tests that you use, but the numbers should give you a generic sense of how testing early works.

  2. If you read all the instructions it says only about 40% get a positive results 4 or 5 days before their missed period.  I suggest waiting until your period is due or late.  Best of Luck!

  3. hey friend wat up with u but anyway this is what i think u should do, i think u should go 2 a docter or your docter and get a pregnacy test. The reason i say this is because some of those hpts' be expired. you may think your pregnant but when you go to the docter you find out diffrently. But basically what i'm saying is go to the docter and make sure your .

  4. 5 days is definitely too soon, and it's very possible you got a false negative. The closer you wait to test to your missed period, the more accurate the results will be, and the less chance you have a getting a false negative. Those early tests do not work for everyone, just about 50% of women who test early at 4-5 before missing, get a positive. Those women are very lucky! My best friend tested negative with First Response (one of the early, more sensitive tests) until her 8th day of missing, before she finally got a positive. It just shows how greatly hCG levels vary from woman to woman, and how each pregnancy  is so different. I would wait to test till the 1st day of your missed period. Even then, it may still take some more time for the hCG to be strong enough for the hpt to detect. hCG doubles every 48 hours or so, making your chance for a positive more accurate. Good luck and hoping this is the month for you!!! Baby dust!

  5. To be accurate you want to wait until the day after your missed period.
