  1. Well, if you're eating dairy foods, you're getting a lot more hormones--and far more powerful hormones--than if you're eating soy.  The phytoestrogens in soy are incredibly weak when compared to the hormones given to dairy cows that find their way into the milk.  There are also hormones in the meat, as the cows and chickens are given hormones and steroids to make them grow bigger and faster.

The antisoy propaganda is put out by anti-vegetarian groups trying to get people to eat "natural" meats and dairy.  But since you are a human being and almost an adult, you really don't need cows' milk, which is meant for baby cows, do you?

Look, you're not a stereotypical macho guy, and some women might just find that a lot more appealing than your average lunkhead.  If you go to college next year, try to go to one in a big city--assuming you don't live in one already--where your so-called "girliness" will garner more acceptance.

  2. First, don't be scared. You're actually born with female hormones, just like every other male.

Second, just because you didn't like rough housing, doesn't make you a wuss. However, you probably want to weight train at least a little and learn how to defend yourself. People will always mess with you. Jackarses outnumber us like 5:1 im sure.

Finally, if you're just naturally feminine, use it to your advantage. There are a number of skills and a certain level of awareness that will definitely put you ahead of the average macho brickhead.

  3. Yeah, it's easier to blame soy than to come to a realization that you may actually just be a wimp.

My husband is 37, 6', and 175 lbs of pure muscle.  Our family is vegan, so he obviously consumes a lot of soy.  He is no way feminine.  He kicks butt in Kenpo Karate.

You are using the soy you consumed as a child as a scape goat for a completely unconnected issue.  Once you stop blaming the soy you can find out how to be manly.

And I hate to tell you this, but plenty of other foods that contain estrogen...They are

    Alfalfa

    ANIMAL FLESH!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Anise seed

    Apples

    Baker's yeast Barley

    Beets

    Carrots

    Cherries

    Chickpeas

    Clover

    Cowpeas (black-eyed peas)

    Cucumbers

    Dairy Foods

    Dates

    Eggs

    Eggplant

    Fennel

    Flaxseeds

    Garlic

    Hops

    Licorice

    Oats

    Olive oil

    Olives

    Papaya

    Peas

    Peppers

    Plums

    Pomegranates

    Potatoes

    Rhubarb

    Rice

    Sage

You can't get away from estrogen just by avoiding soy...And your Mom was right.  Soy is healthier than meat.

  4. LOL, don't try to blame a bean for all of your problems.

I'm guessin' that there be plenty of wusses that eat meat at every meal.

Soy contains PHYTO-estrogens, not the estrogen that ALL human bodies create. Estrogen is found in all men's bodies but at different ratios than those found in women.
