  1. Is this camera yours? Or is it your family's?

Will there be a chance it can get wet, dirty, or anything?  Do you have a proper case for it? Can you bring an extra large zip lock bag, too?

Are you a responsible person? Do you leave anything behind, I mean, do you forget to bring everything home from school? Or do you lose things often?

If you don't let it out o your sight, and you don't let ANYONE use it (I don't care how much you want to be in the picture--we hear daily "My friend / sister / stupid brother / mother / father / me dropped my camera!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" questions--so either you take all the photos yourself (when I travel, I have NO photos of myself. I know what I look like, and I don't need to see me looking stupid standing in front of something.)

You should speak to your parents about it tonight.

Have fun and be safe. And if you take it with you, please share the beautiful photos with us. Upload them to http://www.flickr.com

  2. If I were you, I would bring it. Just be REALLY careful and don't lend it to anyone, even the people you trust. haha.. But if they really want to borrow it, make sure they'll wear the wrist strap, if you have one. And yeah, don't take pics in the pool! =P

  3. high meadows? lol i've totally been there.

your best bet is to buy a disposable camera.
