  1. i had 2 dwarf bunnies and a cat...and 2 dogs, and they all got along just fine. The bunnies were not afraid of the cat or vise versa, however if you are worried about them being around your dad's cats, it may not be a great idea.  Could you close the bunnies up in your room at your dad's while you are there and not allow the cats in there?  Or in the bathroom.  The cats may very well not care about the bunny, but if they do, keep them in their cage and closed in a room.  Your bunny will die if you leave it home alone...plus how lonely for a bunny to have no interaction for 2 weeks?  It may hate you or be afraid of you when you return home.  I say take it with you...it would be better off!

  2. since this is a NEW bunny who's not very trained, i'd say that's not a very good idea . leave it in care of someone else .

  3. If your dad has cats, don't take your rabbit there.  If the cats don't eat it, it could become so scared that it may break its own back.  Try to find a friend or a neighbor who can look after your rabbit.  If nothing else, bring your rabbit with you.  Some rabbits travel very well.  Good luck.

  4. i have 3 rabbits(2 new zeland rabbits and a netherland dwarf) also have a cat and dogs and none of them bother each other and if you do take your rabbit to your dads keep it in your room with your door shut and not let the cats in the room if your scared about what the cats will do and if its new take it with you and let it get more used to you if you do leave it with a friend it may get more used to him/her and then wont be so used to you when you do return....hope this helps =]

  5. If my family was unwilling to take care of my rabbit I would definitely take it with me. But I would at least have a cage that the cats cannot get to so the rabbit will have somewhere to hide. The traveling may not be an issue I traveled 5 hours to get mine. But it would probably be in the rabbits best interest that you try your hardest to find someone who is willing to actually take care of your new rabbit.
