  1. Take references with you.  Give them to her if she asks.

You can use friends who have known you for a long time, neighbors, friends of your family, and the PLACE that you volunteered as references. (Any volunteering looks good.)

Most employers understand that someone who is new to the workforce will not have actual work references.

Good luck on the job!  I'm sure you'll do fine, just be confident and smile!  :)

  2. It wouldn't hurt

  3. You can always ask the interviewer if you will need to bring anything to the interview.  Also I would bring one just in case they do ask for one.  They are real easy to put together, you just need to ask four people that are professionals if you can use them as a reference.  I suggest using a teacher, a former employer, your pastor or religious person, and real close friend that has a job.  Also most companies make you file out another job application on the stop so you might the references for that.

  4. Usually they will ask for it after the interview but most of the time, the don't need/ask for it.  I wouldn't worry.  If they do ask for it, just put down family friends and people that know you well and you should be fine.  But for a retail store, don't sweat it.  You will be fine.

  5. If it's a small clothing business, they may not be picky about it. Try going back to that school and ask someone you know if you can put them as your reference. If you are unable, one of your friends mother, sister, etc. that is a Professional can be used as your reference as well.  Best of Luck!!!

  6. just keep them handy ok?
