You should really stop. Plastic gives off a toxic odor when burned. It's definately not good for you. When I was little, I liked to burn things and if that's what you're into, I could recommend sticks, leaves or anything else in open environment and where the fire has no possibility of spreading.

But again, don't burn plastic.

Go for it, man, the Earth will always heal itself,  over millions of years,  worse things ave happened,  and the life clock continues to tick.....besides in 50 years,  you won't be here anymore,  who cares?

never stop one time in class i lit my id on fire and it started smelling real bad and i almost got caught

If you cannot help yourself from doing it, then you may have some form of disorder and should seek help.  I hope you aren't breathing the fumes.

STOP... it releases carcinogens... Those are cancer causing agents.

FYI, if you're burning in any sort of LARGE scale, it's a CRIME.  Here in California, if you're caught burning plastics (say a half-dozen water bottles?)  you face up to 3 months in jail and a $2000 fine.
