  1. Ok the H22 only came in 1993 in US. In it never came in Automatic till 1997. So that person is pulling a fast one on you. That car must be a H23 non vtec. I have a 1993 prelude. I did a engine swap on mine. SO now i have H22a jdm. In yes its manual. Be careful do some more research.

  2. Absolutly not.  I dated a guy that got a prelude the same year.  He only paid $1000 for his and it was the same thing with the rattling noise.  It died after less than a month.  Your wasting your money.  Try a smart buy from General motors.  The payments are so cheap!  I have a brand new car and I only pay $85 a month for it.

  3. is dat the original miles on the h22...because from wat i know only after 1994 did they come with the h22. if they swapped it it mite jus be the transmission the problem. i would bargain with them and see if they drop it down a bit more but an h22 si....wooooo!!!! or u can always go get it checked out at a shop before u decide...

  4. there is no such thing as a 92 prelude with an automatic h22...  the h22 didnt come automatic until 1997,  you should ask to take it to a shop n have it looked at before you buy it

  5. i have one 145,000 and that thing runs axe lend so, 140.000 is not much for a honda

  6. No! Be wary of mysterious noises! Buy one of the Consumer Reports used car guides, and look and see what the reliability records are for whatever car you decide to look at. It's very helpful. Traditionally, Hondas and Toyotas are very reliable, but when you're talking about a car with 140K on it, it's a gamble unless you know FOR SURE about the maintenance history of the car. If you are a good amateur mechanic, and can fix most things on a car yourself, you may not be as worried, but if you want to buy this car and expect to drive it awhile without putting more $ into it, I'd be wary.
