  1. nahhh if you want a motocross bike get a kx 80 or kx 85. Or kx 100  if you get the klx 125 that aint a bike to race thats a trial bike. not good for jumping

  2. Definately not!

Unless you are going to join a club that is not affiliated with motorcycling new south wales and allows a junior thumper type class you could not race it.  There is no class for this bike.

Go to one of the australian websites like motorcycling victoria ( I wont suggest motorcycling new south wales as their web site was down over the weekend for some reason)  and look at entry forms for racing.  You will see that there is no class for that bike.  If you buy it you could probably use it at practise days but you couldnt race it.  Some smaller clubs may allow it to be raced but there is none that I could mention.

They are a good little bike if you intend to do trail riding, but if you are intending mx then they are not designed for jumping.

You need to look at small wheel 85cc's and the crf150r.  We don't tend to have the kx110 here in Australia so that is not an option.

    Edit

I noticed some of your other question indicate that you are in the QLD area.  The trading post has a crf150r 2005 model for $3000 in Ipswich which would be a good buy for the price.  You could no doubt offer less.  There is endless amounts of kx85's also in the trading post

  3. the klx 125 is a fun bike wich has now been replaced by the klx140 / klx140l a kid at 5 ft should be riding kx85 small wheel or an crf150r but if he is only just starting and has never raced before i would say a kx65.

  4. Heck no, don't even consider it!

  5. No

    reason #1 to old

reason #2 not a MX bike

    reason #3 price to high

Buy yourself a newer 85cc MX bike. Buy the newest year that you can afford.

  6. that isn't a motocross bike but you could probably find a better deal on a 125 motocross bike for less at craigslist

  7. They make a great trail bike....Far from a motocross bike..

The kx125 is the race bike..

12 y/o and 4' 9" you should be on an kx85 or kx110...If you plan on racing.

  8. If you want a motocross bike get a 2 stroke like KX65 to kx450f but a 450 is to much het a kx100 the KLX are playbikes just to ride around for fun with a klx125 you can put your child in a PIT BIKE race i guss
