Should i buy a PS3 or a Xbox 360?

Oh well here I come... since last the last couple of years ive been a fan of sony ps1 ps2 then psp came and at long last the PS3!!! but almost all of my friends have an xbox 360 now i wonder what could be better pls explain why and for me maybe the ps3 is better 80 60 or 40gb?

IT REALLY DEPENDS ON WHAT YOUR LOOKING FOR.PS3 IS GOOD AND HAS A MODERATE GAME SELECTION AND COMES IN ALL DIFFERENT DRIVES, HAS EXCELLENT PICTURE.XBOX-360 HAS ALOT OF GAMES AND MOTIONED FOR A YOUNGER AGE GROUP. BOTH ARE REALLY GOOD!!

My Son Was The Same Way

But He Told Me We Should Get A Xbox 360 Because In The Long Run The Games Are 60 Dollars And The Playstation Games Are 70.

So We Go With The Xbox 360.

PS3 because:

- blu-ray player

- the xbox WILL eventually die, not matter what.

- tekken! and MGS4

- it's more appealing to the eye

- the controllers are much comfier to handle.

- it doesn't have a reaaaalllllly loud annoying fan.

XBox when it breaks and you need to send away your whole console - don't forget about your hard drive and all your achievements, gamer score, save files etc...

good: large meomery, free internet gaming, blue ray, exclusive playstation games

bad: expensive, cant get some other games e.g. gears of war

xbox360

good: cheaper than a ps3, only a 5er for internet gaming, hd console, exclusive games for 360

bad: no blue ray, internet gaming not free, can sometimes break easily, cant get ps3 exclusive games e.g. gran turismo

i would get a 360 because the online network is soooooooo much better.  It is true that they can break kinda easily but definately get the x box.

A PS3 is way better but you will have a better online experience with your friends.

If you don't care to message/play online with your friends then buy a 360.

the ps3 is far better value  than the 360. the only reason your friends have 360s are that their less expensive. can all ready play blue ray, it cost more than $100 to get one for the 360. free live play on playstation network, while x box live cost about $80 a year on silver membership. 360 gets red ring and can break from overheating and to avoid that you have to buy the noisy cooler for $30. while th ps3's is already inside and is like a nice fan. and you could talk to others but can also see the other person which the 360 cant do. and if you want an extra wireless controller for multiplayer the 360 controler cost $60, while th ps3's sixaxis controler is $50 and supports move ment like the wii controlers.

get the ps3 it will save u more in the long run. dont buy a 40gb one because this fallit will get bumped up to $80 gbs and the price stays the same.

Trust me, I have a 360 and it is the best!!!!!!!!!!

I seriously think it is the best system because of x box live. Plus, it has better games than ps3.



Also, within a year mine broke. But this is a good thing because I shipped it to microsoft and they gave me another one for free. They did this because apparently, it has been happening to everyone.

So, you can keep getting new x boxs whenever your old one breaks. So, potentially, I could have an xbox forever (if I wanted)

i own a 360...and the ps3 is good, but if you get a working 360...its the best choice, better online gaming and better games imo.

but if your like me, and u didnt buy a cooler for the 360, it will probably rrod and u will have to wait 3 weeks ever 8-12 months to play 360.

i would say get a 360 (cheaper and better games/online) and buy a cooler.

i, like u have a ps1, ps2 and i was skeptical of microsoft, but 360 blew ps3 out of the water imo if you get them both to work at their fullest, and if everyone you know has 360, get live and play with them!

Wait for the "new" 80 GB PS3 to come out this fall, then buy it. It has the same features of the 40 GB, except double the Hard Drive capacity

Not only does the PS3 have some awesome games like MGS4, Uncharted, and Resistance, but also great incentives such as the ability to play Blu Ray Movies and upscale the DVDs you already own, not to mention free and good online. I was in oyur position, but got a PS3, I knew the harware and company, the games were great, Blu-ray is great, and if i wanna paly with my mates i go round to thier house, pick up a conttroller and play online co-op Halo with them(though i suck).

So you get a great console, and still get to play Halo 3, best of both worlds. And you dont need to pay $50 to paly wiht your mate whos jsut down the road.

Oh n PS3 dont mash up your logic, to quote Tom J

360 will make you belive a broken console is great, where as Sony build a solid console, so that must be bad, cos you dont get to send it away on a little holdiay to enrich the life of your console.
