Should i buy a boxster, z4 or solstice?

Question

i have just under $23,000 canadian and with that money i can buy a used 2000 porsche boxster with 122 000 km on it or a 2003 bmw z4 with 74 500 km on it. or the 2006 pontiac sostice the one my dad wants me to get but i prefer the porsche. he says porsche is too old and too costly to maintain and he doesnt like bmws he says solstice cause its new and only has 14 000 km on it but i think the old boxster would still be able to out perform the solstice and will be worth more than it by next year. but my dads says if i follow all the rules of the streets i wont need speed or race performance i wud just need a good looking car at this age(16).

what do you guys think who have experience with convertibles

i see what my dad is saying about me being 16 and shouldnt worry about brand power and performance but i dont want a short end of the deal.

buy a copy of Consumer reports auto issue

and show him how the 2006 Pontiac Solstice is on the used cars to avoid list.

the z4 has a lot of miles on it.

the porsche is getting old.

are you able to do any work your self or have a good mechanic? if your going to the dealership the service and parts will break you.

for $23K you should be able to find a 04 Z4 with less miles,

02 Porsche Boxster, Honda S2000 05 or a mazda miata.

the solstice has a poor engine and gearbox and a poor reliability record.

being 16, your first car should be cheap, your going to destroy it anyways, just from inexperience, And yes Porsche's are expensive, I own one, but it is fun. save some of that money for another car in about a year or so, your going to need it.
