Ok I have a radio with 2 big speakers that i bought like last year so its pretty new. It has a audio connection port so i can plug in an audio cable and plug the other end into my tv. i am going to buy a LCD sony 52in bravia 4 tv so i need to know if i really need a home theater system. also i went to best buy and i was listening to the sound systems on max volume and the sound was pretty much as high and good as my radio system

  1. yes

  2. well, its all up to you, the difference is that home theatre stuff works specifically w/ your dvd player and stuff, so for digital surround sound it may be different than your averate radio speakers

but if you're happy with it, there's no need in spending more money, unless you have it that is.

  3. yes..because i heard that they sound really good...

  4. No!!! Are you crazy! Do you know what type of condition the economy is in. You need to save every penny and dollar you can. We are in a recession!!!

  5. I would wait till a few years untill you get tired of your radio system!

  6. ITS UP TO YOU, BUT I WOULD GO ALL OUT, BECAUSE IT MAKES ALL THE DIFFERENCE IN THE WORLD TO HAVE TRUE SOUND COMING TO YOU FROM EVERYWHERE.

  7. How important is surround sound to you? That's really the only difference. However, if you're going HD, why have only stereo sound, which has been outdated for decades?

  8. h**l yeah get a bowers and wilkins home theater system thats what i have and it will blow anything else out of the water

  9. it might be noisey but sure if you want to

  10. I'm curious as to what you're calling a "radio with big speakers".

    *Sounds classy.

  11. buy the system, you'll LOVE the diff

also considering feeding music to your new surround sound sytem, out there with your tv, FROM your computer!

AND we're changing to HD only broadcastds in Feb 09--->make sure new tv is set up for that(((amd I'd even insist it has a VGA jack, so you can feed videos from your computer to it too((ie, store all your moviecollection on an external hard drive, so you can just look through a menu, click on one and hit play, boom MOVIE! (and with surround sound LIKE  A THEATRE (boom boom)

well, at least that's what I'm doing-- I like idea of having no physical cd's and dvd's to have to store and flip through

computerized storage allows me to use search and get INSTANT results

and then I can go to wikipedia for each music cd I pick from my menu

it's just so much better to have your tv like a big remote computer monitor out in the living room--->part of it.

And i personally beleive surroundf sound is unbeatable for letting you hear a gunshot behind you, glass breaking in front of you, footsteps all around - you know, that effect is what 'surround' is for ...and IIIIIT's BEATIFUL

but that's me, and u may want to get use out of new speakrs just bought which is also great.  So there you go! ;)

  12. sure!why not?
