Should i buy a new guitar?

Question

so i got guitar hero 3 an the blue button stopped working so i took the neck apart and found a rip in the wire of the main circuit board... is there any where to buy a replacement part because i cant fix it....

find a mom and pop television repair shop in your area. sounds like its a simple soldering problem and they can help with it for a small fee.

If it can't be fixed, then get a new one but if it can be fixed, maybe you don't need a new one. But on the other hand if you want a new one you should get it, because hey why not treat yourself?

take the d**n thing back to the store and smash it over the associates head.  then plug in and play.....usually it works, but may take a few associates heads to fully fix the problem.

Ah, what a sad day it is in the world when someone asks "should I buy a new guitar" and they're talking about a game system.

Don't buy a new game machine thing, just buy a real guitar instead of some game and invest your time in some music lessons.

call the company- i know someone that has rock band that had an issue with their guitar and they called the co and the co sent them a new one

try putting the wire back on with some electrical tape. if that doesn't work get a new guitar

okay you should contact the maufacturer and than tell them this problem and it was like that when you found it. hopefully they will give you a new one for free.

i'm not saying that you shouldn't buy a new one...there are still ways to fix it... if the damage is just a minor damage, try to fix it rather than buying a new one... you can ask some guitar shops near you... they probably sell something to fix your guitar... if you don't know how to fix it, better bring your guitar with you and ask them to fix it... goodluck on your guitar...

If you can't fix it, then of course - yes! However, check around first to see if you have a friend that is into electronics, and have him or her try to fix it for a couple of bucks. If that doesn't work, then by all means, buy one.

The rip in the wire? If it's a wire, just buy some wire, a solder gun and some solder and heat the old wire out with the solder iron and solder a new one back in. Is there enough wire from the board side? Cut it, splice it and solder in the new section.
