Should i buy an electric guitar?

OK, well im 13 and i was wondering should i get an electric guitar? i got a summer job in the corn fields and i was wondering wat to do with the money. i finnaly decided i should buy an electric guitar because i always wanted to play one,but i dont know where i could learn to play it! i dont have enough money to pay for lessons and my parents told they wouldn't pay for lessons. im good at learning things from books so i was wondering if theres a website where it helps you to learn to play electric guitar or books or videos just things like that. also you can give me some different suggestions on things that maybe would interest me besides electric guitar... so please tell me what you think!

I bought and Electric like 1 year ago

and i regreted having bought it.

Becouse with the electric you have to always connect it to the amp in order to actually be able to hear it.

Also Amps are expensive as F**K. But I think an acoustic is good for a bigginer

start off with acoustic so you can learn the notes first then get an electric but its totally up to you

i started with my moms old acoustic and learned some songs from books you can buy at music stores then i got an electric for christmas a year later.

my brother really like playing electric guitar even though he dont know how so we bought him one...

girls always like playing acoustic more because its less technical... you dont have to handle with amp k***s, effects pedals... its just up and play

i reccommend Acoustic first... im a guy and that how i started..

now im rockin it with an electric!

start with an acoustic see if you'll keep playing then go for an electric they're expensive!
