  1. xbox and buy a warranty with it so if you get rrod just bring it to the store get a new xbox with all your memory

  2. ps3 is better.

ps3 is cheaper everything is included such as blu ray player and wifi with the 360 everything is sold seperately and the ps3 is technically superior. Also xbox live is like £40 a year but playstation network is free. All 360 exclxusives are released on pc and for a cheaper price but ps3 exclusives are exclusive to ps3. The ps3 will be around another 8 years or so, but microsoft are going to bring out another xbox by around 2010/11. PS3 has better games such as mgs4, little big planet and final fantasy versus 13.

  3. i will give you an unbiased answer:

firstly you have a 3 year automatic warrantee for red rings so dont worry about that happening if you get a 360

xbox pros: better online, more games out, more exclusive games. cheaper

cons: will not last as long as ps3, inferior system graphically

ps3 pros: better graphics, blue-ray player, will last longer than 360

cons: expensive, not many exclusive games out for this

i dont think anyone can tell you which one you should get, it is personal preference. i like the xbox 360 better, but its your choice in the end. You buy the consoles for the games in the end, and so you should make a choice based on that. Graphics dont make better games, they just give the potencial for better games. As ps3 are putting less money into their games and have less developers working for them as microsoft, graphics wont make that much of a difference between the consoles. I chose xbox, because it has great online and i could name about 10 games that were only for xbox that i would love. Try to do the same with the ps3 vs 360. They both are great consoles and the decision should be made by you personally, not other people who have different tastes in games to you.

    Good luck :)

  4. You know why a 360 is so cheap? because MS are desperate to sell consoles because the PS3 has beaten it every month for a long time now, and it still can't beat the PS3 with price cuts. Overall in a macro sense the PS3 is cheaper since ripoff MS charge you for everything. PS3 is the better console a hundredtimes over.

  5. i would say the new 360 the one with the falcon chip in it. it wont break like all the others and besides if it does the company give you a free 3 year rrod warranty

  6. xbox 360 easily

  7. I would say that in the long run, the PS3 is the better console.  It has a longer life span and is less prone to errors.  The xbox360 has an failure rate of 33%, so about 1 in 3 360s are susceptible to failure.  Microsoft only repairs the RROD (i.e. the 3 year extended waranty only covers RROD), not the other general hardware failures which make up the 33% failure rate.  The PS3 has a 0.02% failure rate, which means only 2 in 10 000 PS3s are susceptible to failure.  If you're concerned about the prices, it seems that in the short run, the 360 is cheaper than the PS3 by $50.  But, the 360 has so many add ons that you need to buy, whereas the PS3 comes with these already.  For example, the PS3 comes with built in wifi, while you have to pay $90 for a wireless network adapter for 360.  PS3 controllers have built in li-ion rechargable batteries, you have to buy the play and charge kit for the 360 for another $30.  PS3 is compatible with all 2.5" SATA laptop hard drives, which means you can upgrade your 80GB PS3 upto a 500GB PS3 for about $150.  But, the 360 can only use hard drives made by Microsoft, and the 20GB Microsoft hard drive is about $100.  PS3 has free online play, but you have to pay monthly for Xbox live.  Oh and the PS3 is a BlueRay player (a blueray player alone will cost over $400), while you have to buy an HD DVD add on for 360 for another $200 (the HD DVD is dead anyway).

  8. PS3 is more future proff than Xbox (which is good dont get me wrong) ...and for two main reasons...the Blu Ray drive makes it much more worth the money..and Home, it looks amazing, an online community...the smart purchase is the PS3 for def.

  9. Go with the 360.

Sony really got arrogant with the PS3 and blew it big time.

PS3 has greater graphic capabilities when maxed out, but its graphics processors are separate, and cant work on the same thing. 360s has a few less graphics processors, however they are unified.

So... basically, what this boils down to is, PS3 has higher graphic processors assuming a game takes advantage of it. However, when building to the lowest common denominator (common practice for multi-console release), any of the 360's processor's which arnt be utilized can assist the others. The PS3's cant, idle processors just sit idle. So, a game built for the lowest common denominator (as many games are) should look equivalent, if not better, on the 360.

PS2 was a great machine, and was the lowest common denominator of last gen. GC and xbox power wasn't really utilized most the time. Sony seemed to see microsoft's business model and said 'hey, lets take that up a notch' and magnified every mistake. Ps3 is the hardest to utilize, the most expensive to dev for, and the most expensive to own. Either sony got lucky last gen, or they forgot everything that worked.

I laughed and laughed when the 360 came out. Then, when the PS3 came out, I was simply appalled. Not only did they not learn from the ps2, they didnt learn their mistakes in the psp either. PS3 could be wiping the floor with 360, but they're idiots. Now I own a 360 and a Wii, with no intention of getting a PS3, especially with their newer non-backwards compatible models. Majority of sony's good games are ps2.

The only ps3 exclusive that impressed me is no longer exclusive; ffxiii.

Alot comes down to price. Nintendo figured this out. Microsoft got lucky by Sony's current spell of idiocy. That basically sums up the console sells in America.

Currently, Im not seeing many rpgs on any of the new machines (although 360 has a few REALLY nice ones), a little disappointing; 360 is king of action, ps2 is king of rpgs, wii and ds of funky new games, and ps3 of... blu-ray? Idk. Sony disappoints ><

    In summary:

    360 all the way.

  10. I'd choose to buy a xbox 360 because it's cheaper and the games i also cheaper the red-ring death grunt you not care about because the xbox only has it in very few cases and it can be made as long as there is guarantee on it.

but i really think it's up to you to choose but you can try to look at the games and then choose the console that has most of the games you'd like to have, hope it helped you otherwise write to my email SebastianEsp@hotmail.com.

  11. Xbox 360 personally, If you do get the three red rings then you tell microsoft and they will send you another one, which works...

    : )

  12. I heard somewhere that Microsoft is already planning on a new xbox.

Jack Tretton said that Playstations have a 10 year life cycle (in the lastest generation of course), its still relatively early so rest assured that your PS3 will last long.

(TO SUM IT UP YOU SHOULD GET A PS3, IN MY OPINION)

Many companies such as Activision and EA are supporting the PS3 and made positive prediction towards the PS3.

I heard that if a 360 does not qualify in a certain "warranty extension program" of Microsoft, the Xbox 360 may NOT granted a free of charge warranty. (I do not know if it is about the parts replacement or service warranty).

PS3s are much more stable in a statiscal point of view as compared to the 360.

    =IN A STRATEGICAL CORPORATE POINT OF VIEW=

Activision and EA are one of the biggest game publishers in the world, this would make other large to medium to small sized producers rethink their strategy towards the Xbox 360 if the PS3 is supported by these companies.

If a certain console does not secure the market from its competitors and if it seems like its losing, it might lose its exclusivity. A company must also consider profit (by all means ofcourse). I heard that one of the execs reported that 3 out of 10 games make profit (but of course some publishers choke us with cr@p, they deserve it in my opinion).

Consoles that obviusly look like losing will cease in production, examples: Dreamcast, the orginal Xbox (thats why its called an X-box because its an X)

I believe that A GOOD CHOICE TODAY WILL SAVE YOU A LOT OF MONEY, I mean if you play games (because thats what I usually research about, games).

NPD reports from the recent months show a rallying surge of PS3s sold. But (!), we must not forget the recent victory of the Xbox 360 in Japan, this is most probably because of the release os Tale of Vesperia (I believe it is an RPG game, which I believe appeals to the Japanese market). The although the monthly victories of PS3 in terms of sales is impressive (I'M SERIOUSLY IMPRESSED! 14.4 million PS3s compared to the 360 which has 20 million units AND TO THINK that the PS3 was delayed! Microsoft's prediction of a 10 million advantage was short-lived, Microsoft should'nt have been in the console business in my opinion).

    ======================================...

I say you should wait for 3 more months, things might change, the markets are always similar to quickly shifting sands.

but if you really want to buy now, I say the PS3 has the most potential.

I have an Xbox 360 at home (I didnt ask the heavens for this, but I'm still thankful because my consoles are getting out of date)

I say its good I play COD4, Oblivion and a pinch of GoW (I seriously suck thats why XD). Xbox 360 just doesnt seem to keep my attention, something is like trying to but it cant, it doesnt have the Playstation appeal. You know that feeling of playing... playstation? (message me for my Gamercard I dont want people flaming me for my answers here XD)

Its still your choice, I cannot sway you if you cant really be swayed (since you posted this in Xbox part XD)

    I say PS3.

  13. 360

  14. Buy a Wii they are better

    But to answer your question

i would buy a PS3 better graphics and you can play blu-ray DVD's on them but make sure you buy the extra warranty on it just in case

  16. Get a xbox 360.

This is simply because its the best console around.

Ps3 has crappy games compared to xbox 360.

If you dont believe me, the ps3 is getting a game about "flowers" lmao

    Xbox 360!!!

  17. aww in my opinion xbox 360 sucks and ps3 is better and since anew xbox is coming out i rather but the ps3 because its better. and u know what u can't even watch a movie with out the xbox 360 remote y the h**l would i wana spend 400 bucks on a xbox then in addition spend anothe 25 buying a stupid remote when i can just use the controller!!!

  18. PS3. It has multiple uses, and free online. You can store you Music+Photos+Videos and a lot more, not to mention the ability to play DVDs, Blu-Ray movies, and CDs, and compatibility with a lot of USB devices. Such, Keyboards, Mice, Printers (yes, that's right, printers!), tablets (like Plug n' Play). There is also an internet browser that comes with it. MGS4 utilizes it and with Unreal Tournament III, you can have mods. Not to mention a lot of kickass games are out for it and are expect this year and for years to come.  <-- And I barely scratched the surface, lol.

If you really want to have a Microsoft console, they expect to have another one out by 2012 (4 years) at the latest. The PS3 is future-proof, and has a 10-year life cycle (meaning until 2016, since it came out in 2006.).

    Hope this helped. =).

  19. get a ps3 you wont be dissapointed, its a little bit more expensive but its way worth it its got a bluray player which is like £200 itself . the only thing the xbox 360 has got is halo (a game)
