Mainly it depends on how important roster updates are to you.  Honestly, much of the game is the same, but in 07 they added new baserunning controls which suck.

'08 is a big improvement from '06 especially the gameplay, career mode, and franchise mode. However, I'd wait 'till '09 the show comes out becuase this baseball season is almost over.
