  1. Hi, it is always best to trial clubs before purchasing to make sure you like the way the club sets up & feels at impact. However, I would recommend the Callaway X20 Tour irons, because if you already hit the ball straight there is no reason to go with the TM Draws..

Have you tried the Callaway X Tour? They are a forged cavity backed iron which give amazing distance control and are still fairly forgiving.

  2. You are the only one who can answer this.....its your game and your swing.  Hit them both and Buy what feels best to you.  We can't provide you with much more than what works for us.....The same clubs might not work for you.

  3. If you already hit the ball straight all the time, unless your current clubs have a draw bias built in, then the R7 draw may not be the best choice.

Ideally you want to try the X-20's and the regular R7 irons and see what you prefer. These are both good-looking, good performance sets, I doubt you'd be disappointed with either. I prefer the X20 looks-wise.

  4. It honestly is up to the buyer (you) to determine what sort of clubs work best for you.  Given that, I will try to guide you away from TaylorMade.  I do club repairs and have found numerous problems with TaylorMade products.  A customer of mine bought a set of the R7 irons and 4 of the 8 clubs have had the shafts snap at the hosel.  Their quality control is very poor.

Rocco Mediate used the X-20's to go head to head with Tiger Woods, so maybe that says something!!  But at the end of the day, it really depends on what performs best for you and what looks the best to you.  JUst keep in mind how poor TaylorMade products are.

  5. I hit the r7 draws. I already had a slight draw on my shots but the draw weight did nothing. I think it is more for repairing a slice not to draw. But I would try the clubs at a pro shop or something, it is always best to try out clubs before you buy them, but I would go with the taylormades.
