  1. Quite honestly you should not try and learn any self defense from DVDs, the internet, or from books. They can be an excellent supplement if you already have good training, but are not good for a beginner.

In the beginning you need a qualified instructor to watch you so they can correct the mistakes you make. Even if you think you are doing it exactly like the video I can guarantee you there is something wrong. You also need to practice what you learn against resistant partners in order to make sure they work for you.

Do they train soldiers by video tape? Doctors? Police? Fireman? The fact is there are some things youjustt cannot learn from videos.

Seek a qualified instructor please. All the videos will give you is a false sense of security.

  2. i agree with all of the above answers. the guy is full of ****

  3. dont buy anything from Chris Pizzo, the guy is just full of c**p.

Al Steele is pretty interesting especially if you want to learn about the psychology of street attacks.

Not heard of those other 2 guys but you could always post on a message board or look for free clips on the net.

Just dont waste your money on Close Combat Training

  4. Try Sammy Franco at http://www.sammyfranco.com there isn't one bad review of this dudes instructional DVD's.  Checked out his "Rat Packed" DVD my self, dude makes total sense and his videos are decent.

  5. no no no no and no.

they guy has never been in the army and none of his stuff works and there is nothing new or secret, its just some bad judo mixed in with stuff you can get off wikipedia.

if you want to learn some real self defense try marc macyoung (nononsenseselfdefense.com), al steele (steelknuckle.com) or richard grannon (streetfightsecrets.com).

bought almost everything out there and chris pizzos is one of the worst.
