I guess it is a fun toy, but has no optical zoom and a very small sensor.

If you are not expecting high quality images, then sure buy it.  But for over $150, you can buy a much better Canon, Nikon, Pentax, Casio or Panasonic with 3x optical zooms and some with IS

I just bought an ultra flip for my son and daughter-in-law because they are expecting their first baby soon.  They've been trying it out and they love it.  It's best indoors or with close up videos.  If you want to take it to film an air show or something, it doesn't do well.  There's no charger for it so it goes through a lot of batteries.  But it downloads to the computer without any extra cable attachments.  Overall, I'm happy with the purchase.  Amazon.com has a good price for them, but with shipping and handling I decided to buy at Best Buy.  That way, if anything was wrong with it, it could be easily returned.  Price came out about the same.

NO my daugher has it. It is a total waste.

The camera that we found seems to work well and you can take videos with also is the Nicon cool pix you just have to get a sd memory card which is about 30.00 bucks (the memory card)  but we wish we would have gotton our daughter that first.

according to the reviews on amazon.com, it seems like a good choice. look at the specs and price, and see if it would be worth it for you.
