Should i buy the history book or wait to see what happens in class?

i ordered my history books online but now i have to bring one of the books to class for an assignment and my books arent here yet. should i buy the book and get a refund for it or should i just tell my professor my situation?

just tell your professor your situation, I did it many times and had no problems

Buy it and return it. That is, if you can get a full refund. That's what I did a lot during college while I waited for books. Just make sure that you get it in before the return period expires (at my school, we only had 3 weeks to return books).
