  1. Depends if your snake was raised in a pet store- or if you caught him fro mthe wild. A wild snake will be more fmailiar and comfortable with things from your backyard. Its definetly going to be more natural for them. A pet store snake would enjoy either solution.

  2. Yes buy things for your snake so it live a long, healthy life.  That includes a glass case and the suitable plant life for it, food, and other such things like that.  I had a ordinary lizard that was suppose to only live for 2 years and it lived to 9 years and still going.

  3. If you take things from outside, they must be sterilized. I use boiling hot water to clean anything i take from outside that i intend to place in my snakes tank such as branches and rocks. The pet shop will have items specifically for animals which would be better suited for them, so perhaps from both as you see appropriate.

  4. A climb log in a pet store is too expensive, so I would find a nice stick from the outdoors, but sterilize like everyone said!

  5. Both its easier getting stuff from your back yard but something you wont have in your back yard that a snake needs

  6. it's much better to go to the store to get mice for your snake.  you never know what parasites wild mice might have or if the mice have gotten a hold of poision.

  7. It is better to go to the store for items you need. The reason for that is that the things outside have been touched by wild animals who may have had illnesses. It may cause your pet to get sick. I would suggest a store unless you find a good way to sanitize.
