  1. pull the dip stick and see if its fresh, pull radiator cap, pull plugs, check the trans oil....drive it does it shift nice n firm, does it idle nice etc...

Focus is a nice car, contrary to what 1st poster says, that bad 'ford' stereotype went out in the mid 90s, thats dating yourself maam!

    hehe..

anyways, they build some nice cars, Focus being one of them.  to the guy saying buy an 06-07, show me a car for 3G that is 1-2 years old...

sounds like a fairly good deal, of course, you can always visit KBB.com to check if the numbers add up, but you will still need to do your mechanical homework on the car to make sure youre not going to need to do something major..like a trans...

then build that into the price...and offer accordingly.  good luck

  2. Don't buy a Ford.. Especially a Focus!

  3. most people here have no idea if that is a good deal or not.take it to a shop and have it inspected.they will tell you whether its worth it or not.better to spend a little to get it checked out before you buy it and then find out it needs a bunch of work.everyone here has his/her own opinion of different makes and models of cars.i was always a chevy fan till i got my explorer, you couldnt get me back in a S****y chevy ever again, but like i said everyone has their own opinion.

  4. YAY!

    veryy good deal!

  5. 99700!!!! Um no, mine's a ford focus 01 and it has 89000 and it's already starting to have problems. Don't ever buy a car with milage more than 70-80000.

  6. what ever saves on gas. You could also have One of those companies go check out the car and they tell you if anything is wrong with the car before you buy it or they tell you what will need to be fixed soon. I would.because what if you buy the car then something messes up. i would want to know first.

  7. Seems like a good deal to me... I'd do it! Just keep the rising prices of gas in mind...

  8. Sounds like a good deal if the car has maintenance records and the original owner took care of it  I would buy it.

  9. Before you buy this car, take a test drive.  Check the engine & transmission oil, radiator and brake fluid, to see are they clean?

If the car runs well without any sign of fatigue, take it to your mechanic.  Why in this sequence, your mechanic will charge you to check it out.  After you have done your home work and you like the car then spend the money to have a final check.  When this car has it timing belt replaced?  Check all the hoses and belts to see any crack.  Your mechanic will able to tell you.  Good luck!

  10. 2002 is old buy something in 2006 or 2007 (it's not too expensive and it doesn't look old style). The price and miles are good to me.
