  1. LT is right.  Don't buy it.  You get a 3 year warranty and if you take care of your car (per your owner's manual) there is no reason why your car can't run with minimal problems for 100K miles.

Consumer reports did an independent study and 81% of the time, the extended warranty does not pay for itself.

Plus, you are buying a Toyota, which is top 5 in reliability among manufacturers.

    Personally, I would not purchase.

  2. no

especially not with the the proven reliability of this car.

  3. If you like to spend money, yes. In most cases you will lose with the extend warranty as not likely anything will go wrong with the car or it will cost less to fix that the warranty will cost you. In the long run people make big money in selling extended warranties and the dealer is going to want you to buy so they can make money from it. Most places make more money from selling extended warranties then from the sale itself.

  4. It's up to you whether or not you want to extend the factory warranty up to 7 years.  I wouldn't.  Most wouldn't.
