Should i call back the restaurant i applied for?

about 4 or 5 days ago i applied to a restaurant in my town. I have heard from many people that the restuarant is hiring. I have not heard from the restaurant yet and i desperately need a job and want to work there. I am thinking about called them, but i don't know what to say or how to approach the subject. anyone have a solution?

You should def call them. When you call ask for the General Manager. Say that you have turned in an application and you were wondering if they had a chance to review it, or if that position has already been filled. Calling makes it seem youre interested.
